Was that gurgling? The hiker was roughing it out in the woods when he heard gurgling. It sounded like gurgling, kinda. Smacking, there was definitely smacking now. He waited a few seconds again, and started off, pushing branches to the side, and generally mucking in the forest. The sun was Hi said a voice behind him. His blood shot cold, and a shiver went up his spine. He turned around, and the... thing greeted him. It was green, more of a mound than a being, covered in moss and... there. It was kinda human, but it looked like thick moss drapings over a thin skeleton. A thin, pointy face jutted from the pile His intestines burst from his abdomen, held in the air. Her eye tensed as she gazed upon him, her arm outstretched. She held the item aloft for a moment, staring at the wretched pile. She dove in and began to devour. Terror filled his eyes. Not terror, absolute. Just absolute opening of entire existence, eyes shocked wide quivering. His mouth opened, but no sound came out. A tugging was felt at his midsection but little else. His legs hung limply, and a slight twitch was sent to a leg. The leg twitched, but he felt no need to do more. Life was It finished eating. The corpse dropped to the ground, a few quivering muscles and nothing more. The eyes were open, and gazed at nothing. It was pale and grey. The creature slurped and pulled the remaining viscera into its mouth, tongue lapping around its lips. It sighed in contentment and slumped into the ground, barely more than a lump.
