Well, I thought I was done for a while. I'd made the Deck of Many Tarrasques, like... an out of the blue wild homebrew item, there aren't even any D&D books coming out for a while (Forge of the Artificer is coming in December tho). But... I had backed a kickstarter lol. An incredible looking kickstarter, Tome of Hags! A supplement that finally expands on the hag aspect of D&D, that was previously, like... what can you do with covens? There's gotta be more hag types! Families, pets, origins? Like camman, there is SO mu-anyway, someone went and filled that void! Tome of Hags (kickstarter), an awesome looking compendium of hag-related options, subclasses, animals, covens, settings, 300 pages worth! And Iiii got on that thing a year ago. And then... and then... it got released. And I discovered, in the early-access for supporters, that... another deck exists! Of course one has to exist, it's a pile of hags, there's GOTTA be a deck in there somewhere. And I had to make it, I have a whole crapton of hag stories, I love the aesthetic (I bring it to the side of good :D), I've gotta, I've gotta! And, weirdly, surprisingly, and perfectly... all of the results are positive! Not a negative result in 'em! Just a magic deck of boons, gain one of 20 possible bonuses for the day! It uses the major arcana of a tarot deck, and rather than need to toss the majority of another full tarot deck (also I'd need to get a playing card sized deck to fit the decksheet), so I decided to use just a playing card deck. But... what cards to use? So looking around online, a wonderful Redditor by the name of Angel-Hugh posted their interpretation of the tarot major arcana to playing cards, and since there's no universally agreed upon conversion for this, I went with theirs, because they seem to know WAY more than me on the subject. So cool cool, THANK YOU ANGEL! And so writing the appropriate names on the appropriate cards, we had a deck. Except, The World isn't present, because they wanted to use a d20 to pick a card, and The Fool... rumour has it... legend says, that if you should find The Fool card (nooo, more than just in the photo), then you will be granted a visit from the Three Crones themselves. And so, the appropriate 20 cards are contained in the box, and The Fool... who knows? Seems to have gotten off to somewhere after that first photo was taken, strange. No, no, the instruction card with the folded paper construction is the 3 of hearts, I dunno ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And so, we've got another deck added to the collection. Epic :D Built October 30, 2025 Ayyy, nothin' but good results, why not draw a card? |
